MATENROU OPERA bassist yo to model at AnimeNEXT


AnimeNEXT presents yo, bassist of MATENROU OPERA, as a special guest model for Japanese fashion brand Acryl agitt.

Formed in 2007, MATENROU OPERA is a visual kei band with an influence in metal. In 2008, they toured Europe as the opening act for Versailles and in 2011 made their US debut at Anime USA. After over half a year, MATENROU OPERA is set to release their 6th single, “Tonari ni Suwaru Taiyou” on July 23.

AnimeNEXT Fashion Show is proud to announce MATENROU OPERA bassist yo (燿) as a featured guest model for designer Acryl agitt. Acryl agitt is headed by the seasoned designer Daisuke Ichikawa, who had overseen 3 seasons of h.NAOTO Tokyo Collection. After leaving h.NAOTO, Ichikawa created his own brand: Acryl agitt. Fusing music and fashion, the brand has designed outfits for artists such as Gackt, vistlip, Golden Bomber and many more. With a surreal rock art and mode concept, Acryl agitt features men’s and women’s designs with a distinctive gothic edge.

Already a seasoned guest model for Acryl agitt in Japan, yo will be representing visual kei artist fashion for the US audience. In addition to modeling in the Fashion Show, yo will be
participating in panels and autograph sessions at the convention. yo and Acryl agitt will be joining AnimeNEXT alongside designers from the brand galaxxxy, Kawaii Ambassador of Japan kimura U, renowned voice actor Richard Epcar, popular rock band ROOKIEZ is PUNK’D, and studio TRIGGER creators Hiromi Wakabayashi and Shigeto Koyama.
