ALI PROJECT announces 25th anniversary best album


Gothic rock band ALI PROJECT has announced their upcoming 25th Anniversary Best Album, slated for release in June. The band revealed details during their live performance on March 29, celebrating their latest single, “Himiko Gaiden”, along with new Japanese tour dates.

ALI PROJECT has captivated an international fan base with their innovative melody arrangements, poetic lyrics, dark rock style music, and sensual gothic look while combining glamorous ballad, pop, Japanese rock, and contemporary art in their musical performances. ALI PROJECT has contributed many anime titles such as Rozen Maiden, Code Geass, The Girl Who Leapt Through Space, Code Geass: Lelouch of the
Rebellion, .hack// G.U. Returner, .hack//Roots, Avenger, Noir, Marmalade Boy, CLAMP School Detectives, Katanagatari, Wish,
and Mai-HiME – Unmei no Keitouju.

ALI PROJECT is Arika Takarano (Lyrics and Vocal) and Mikiya Katakura (Composer and Arrangement). ALI PROJECT debuted from Toshiba EMI with the single “Koi-seyo otome” in July 1992. Since 1992, the pair has charmed audiences with their uniqueness. They are known for their one and only original melody and music arrangement as well as poetic lyrics and strong visuals.
